Now remember how Elsa, hedcanon generator who was also completely isolated, never worried at all about finding a partner? I mean, I suppose we could say that Elsa had other issues to consider, but we could also say that she’s asexual. Anna had other things to worry about than getting married, too, but she still managed to find some romance for herself along the way. I don’t even think the thought of a partner ever crossed Elsa’s mind.
Maybe it’s something like "____ loves the colour blue." Really, it can be about anything! It doesn’t have to be perfect, remember – not all headcanons are. They just add in extra information about the book or thing you’re writing about. While I was writingthis post I thought to myself "where can I separate headcanon generator and UPG?
Coming to my rescue, though, are headcanons. Headcanons are hardly the same thing as representation in the source material, but at least they’re something. So first things first, how to use headcanons in a good way. There’s some important things to keep in mind, but the first one is the most important. To keep people from getting pissed with you, the number one thing that keeps a roleplayer happy is if you keep your headcanons to what belongs to you. If it primarily affects your character, it’s pretty much your game.
The character was supposedly some sort of ancient archangel type thing... Who hated Oranbegans for one reason or another. I mean, he absolutely LOATHED them, and made it clear that he basically wanted to see them all burned to ash with Holy Fire any time the Circle came up in conversation. Which they sometimes did, with various characters from my gang being around. And, "how dare you speak with me mortal, I don't care if this dimension is destroyed, I'm uber-Galactus" also not great for head canon and roleplaying, in my opinion. I think it's better for roleplaying if you're of moderate level superhero instead of Galactus.
Jonathan’s sexuality only helps to define who he is, and the issues he deals with because of it only makes him more interesting. Thanks to Mad Friends, I cannot view Jonathan as anything other than asexual. Even more interesting, Jonathan’s alter ego is not ace. Scarecrow totally experiences sexual attraction and that does create more layered issues for their characters.
